Day 1: Tangier » Chefchaouen » Fes [305 km]
We start our 5 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech, by picking you up at your hotel or airport. Our route winds through the picturesque Rif Mountains, passing Tetouan on our way to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen.
Here, take time to explore this charming city, strolling through its alleys decorated in shades of blue and white. Perfect for capturing some charming shots. Discover its ancient city and Ras al-Ma, where the mountain waterfall merges with the city.
Lunch awaits you at a local restaurant in the famous Plaza Ota Hammam. As the afternoon falls, our path leads to the city of Fes, which offers panoramic views of the Rif Mountains and the lush landscapes of northern Morocco.
By late afternoon, we arrive at Fes, our hotel/riad that welcomes you for one night, marking the start of your unforgettable journey.
Day 2: Fes » Ifrane » Azrou » Ziz Valley » Merzouga Desert [470 km]
Our adventure starts at 9:00 a.m. with pick you up at your riad in Fes. The road takes us through the Middle Atlas Mountains, a scenic trek that includes Berber villages.
A stop in the captivating city of Ifrane, often referred to as “Moroccan Switzerland,” sets the tone. Continuing, we came to the famous Cedar Forest of Azrou, which is home to monkeys. We will stop in Midelt to take a lunch break.
On our way south, we visit the city of Erfoud, famous for its fossils and its annual date market festival. The captivating Ziz Valley offers a panoramic view of the oasis, captivating the senses. As evening falls, the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes welcome us.
A delicious dinner and comfortable hotel accommodation await you in Merzouga, marking the next chapter of your journey.
Day 3: Merzouga Sightseeing [60 km]
This day is dedicated solely to the desert of Merzouga. We start by waking up early to watch the dunes bathed in the colors of the sunrise. A delicious breakfast fuels your day for more adventures.
Visit Gnaoua House, a center of captivating black folk music. Immerse yourself in their artwork and share unforgettable moments. Our journey leads us to Rissani, where we delve into the local market and indulge in the flavors of Berber pizza. Going back to your hotel where you relax and enjoy your stay.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert » Todgha Gorge » Dades Valley [270 km]
When you wake up in the middle of the desert, take the opportunity to watch the sunrise, a magical sight near the camp. After this enchanting moment, a delicious breakfast awaits you. Choose between a camel ride or a 4×4 transport to return to your initial starting point, where your driver is waiting.
We head to another city Rissani. If it coincides with the weekly market days (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) you will be able to make some shopping here. Later we pass through Berber villages such as Torug, Tinged, and Tinghir. We will stop in Tinghir to admire the lush Todra Valley, surrounded by palm trees and greenery.
Heading to the Todra Valley, which lies at the base of the High Atlas Mountains and is a haven for rock climbers. After lunch, our path leads to Boumalne Dades. As the afternoon turns into evening, we arrive to the Dades Valley. Here, a relaxing dinner and overnight stay at the hotel/riad promises a peaceful end of the day.
Day 5: Dades Valley » Ouarzazate » Ait ben Haddou » Marrakech [330 km]
On this day of our 5 day tour from Tangier to Marrakech our route leads towards Marrakech, including Kalaat M’Gouna, the Valley of Roses, and the green palm grove of Skoura. A stop at the film studios of the Kasbah of Taourirt and Ouarzazate (optional) sets the tone.
The Ait Ben Haddou, home to the famous and ancient Kasbah was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. It is the backdrop for popular films like Gladiator and The Mummy and provides a moment of awe. here we will have a pleasant lunch.
