Tour Plan:
Day 1: Casablanca » Rabat » Chefchaouen [341 km]
On the first day of our best 7 days tour from Casablanca, we will pick you up from the airport as soon as you get to Casablanca. The Hassan II mosque is one of the city’s major historical sites that we will see after that.
Then we will head towards Rabat, the capital of the nation, and take another brief guided tour to see the unfinished tower of Hassan and the Kasbah of Oudayas. We’ll depart Rabat after lunch and travel to Chefchaouen, a town known for its vibrant blue hue.
Before we reach Chefchaouen, commonly known as Chaouen, we will have the opportunity to take in the breathtaking scenery of the Riff Mountains on the drive there. We will spend the night at a gorgeous hotel, in the center of the city.
Day 2: Chefchaouen » Volubilis » Meknes » Fes [260 km]
You will have a stroll through Chefchaouen’s vivid and colorful streets after walking up in this lovely town. The town is called “the Blue Pearl” since most of it is painted blue. We will depart Chefchaouen after lunch and go to Fes, the spiritual center of Morocco.
We definitely will stop in Volubilis, the old Roman city ruins and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the history of previous civilizations and move directly to Meknes, one of the four imperial cities of the country. Here you will explore many sites, such as the Bab Mansour, the old medina, Lahdim square and other places. When we get to Fes, we will head directly to a traditional Riad where we will spend the night.
Day 3: Fes Sightseeing with a local guide
The imperial city of Fes, one of the oldest cities in Morocco and one of its most culturally and historically rich cities in Morocco. You will have the entire day of exploring after breakfast in your riad/hotel.
We will start by exploring the old part of Fes with the help of a local guide. You will visit the traditional souks, the royal palace’s gates, and Quaraouine University. In actuality, the Quarantine is still in operation and is the oldest university in the world.
Lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant.
The Batha Museum and the Nejjarine Fountain are the next stops on our journey. We will stop at a café or a terrace to end the day and take in a sweeping view of the city before returning to the riad/hotel.
Day 4: Fes » Ifrane » Azrou » Ziz Valley » Erfoud » Merzouga Desert [463 km]
We will leave Fes early this morning and travel over the Middle Atlas to arrive in Merzouga by sunset. Before going to the forests of Azrou, where we will observe wild macaque monkeys, we will stop in the town of Ifrane. This town is widely known as the Switzerland of Morocco.
As the geographic center of the Middle Atlas, Midelt City is where we will have lunch before continuing on our tour. We will travel through the stunning Ziz Valley, where we will stop to soak in the scenery and possibly take some photos.
Then we head to Merzouga, the entrance to the Erg Chebbi desert. We will pass pass the desert town of Erfoud. Arrival at the Riad where you will spend the night.
Day 5: Merzouga Sightseeing [60 km]
We will have a great time discovering Merzouga surroundings and discovering more about the desert culture on this day. First, a short 4×4 journey across the dunes will take us to the old Khamlia town. The pioneers of Gnaoua music reside in Khamlia, which explains why the settlement is so significant to the region.
Visiting nomad families will also be included. You will discover how these people are living in faraway places and we will have a cup of tea with them before leaving back toward Merzouga.
Following lunch, we will return to Merzouga and spend some time relaxing there. Here, through the twilight, we will get the opportunity to take in the breathtaking desert panorama while riding camels. We will be transported by camel to the secret luxury desert camp, where you will enjoy a delicious traditional dinner and party with local musicians before retiring to our luxurious, well-appointed tents for the night.
Day 6: Merzouga Desert » Rissani » Todra Gorges » Dades Gorges [271 km]
We will leave the Sahara today and take a different, more enjoyable route that passes through Gorges and Berber settlements. We will arrive in Todra Gorge, a natural oasis created by the River Todra slicing through limestone over a long period, after traveling to Rissani and Tinghir.
The gorge, is one of Morocco’s top tourist attractions, with canyon walls that soar more than 400 meters above the ground, giving it an almost ancient aspect.
After lunch in the gorge, we will continue to the Dades Valley where we will see the stunning beauty and vast vistas of Dades Valley. While still in the Dades Gorges, we will have a dinner and breakfast at a riad/hotel.
Day 7: Dades Gorges » Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou » Marrakech [330 km]
On the final day of our tour, we will travel through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, which leads to Ouarzazate. The international filmmaking land where many films have been made. We will have time to visit Atlas studios before going to Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the Capital of Roses to explore the local rose factory.
Later, we move to The historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which has served as the setting for numerous historical films. The UNESCO has assigned Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah as a world heritage site.
Our 7 days tour from Casablanca will come to an end as we travel over the stunning High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, our final stop. Drop off at your location riad/hotel.
